GLEN Johnson won the Premier League and played for England at the World Cup.
He now makes his money in a completely different arena, running his own real estate business.
Johnson started his career with West Ham, working his way through the youth system before leaving for Chelsea in 2003 after the Hammers were relegated.
A £6million signing, Johnson was the first player to join the Blues after Roman Abramovich’s takeover.
The following season saw Johnson make 16 league appearances as Jose Mourinho led Chelsea to their first league title for 50 years.
Johnson also won the League Cup in 2004/05, his long throw-in leading to Didier Drogba scoring against Liverpool in the eventual 3-2 victory for the London club in the final.
With first team opportunities limited, Johnson went on loan to Portsmouth, joining permanently in 2008.
It was a successful period for both Johnson and the south coast club, winning the FA Cup and playing European football.
He even won Premier League goal of the season during his time at Fratton Park, a stunning volley against Hull City.
A move to Liverpool followed, where he scored the winning penalty in the 2012 League Cup final, before moving to Stoke in 2015.

The right-back also appeared in two major tournaments for England, playing every game at both the 2010 FIFA World Cup and Euro 2012.
He won 54 caps for the Three Lions, scoring once, a stunning effort against Mexico in a 3-1 win at Wembley in 2010.
Johnson’s real estate business was founded by the star and his brother Lewis in 2007, when the right-back was still under contract at Chelsea.
Johnson, who acts as CEO of the company, told Estates Gazette in 2017 about his love of his second career.
He said: “On the football pitch, no one wants to lose and it is the same when you set up a new business – you want it to work and be as successful as it can be.
“Obviously I love football and love everything I have done, but you also need that time to switch off and do something different.”
Johnson’s business is set up in Dartford, where he grew up, with the aim of helping the local community with all their home refurbishment and rental needs.
