The burglary took place at Teddington Appliance Controls in Daniels Lane, where offenders forced a window to gain entry sometime between midday on January 9 and 6am on January 12. Once inside, the thieves made off with copper files and wiring valued at approximately £6,500.
Officers investigating the incident are urging anyone who witnessed suspicious activity in the area during the timeframe to come forward. They are also keen to hear from scrap metal dealers or members of the public who may have been offered the copper for sale.
A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said: “Officers are appealing for witnesses after high-value copper was stolen during a commercial burglary in St Austell.
