British Diver Tom Daley Tearfully Announces Retirement After 2024 Olympics

    August 13, 20241 Min Read

British diver and social media star Tom Daley has announced his retirement following the Paris Olympics, according to an emotional BBC interview. Daley, 30, had an impressive career, earning five medals across five Olympics, including one gold, three bronze, and a newly-earned silver in Paris. “I want to be with my family,” he explained. “I’m really excited to be able to spend some time with them and just be able to feel a bit normal for a couple of days. But, yeah, it’s just very overwhelming. I didn’t mean for it to time out exactly like this, but I just feel very proud of my career.” Daley shares two kids with his husband, Oscar-winning screenwriter Dustin Lance Black. (E! Online)
