Fintech startup AxiTrust raises Rs 23.5 Cr in seed round led by General Catalyst

    November 26, 20252 Mins Read

Fintech startup AxiTrust has raised Rs 23.5 crore in a seed funding round led by General Catalyst along with participation from other investors and angels including Atrium Angels, YAN Network, Supermorpheous and others.

The proceeds will be used to build the digital infrastructure that will power the large-scale adoption of surety bonds across India’s banking, insurance, and procurement ecosystem, AxiTrust said in a press release.

Co-founded in 2024 by Aditya Tulsian, Rajeev Chari, and Mukund Daga, AxiTrust Surety is a technology-driven platform that aims to build the digital infrastructure for surety bonds in India. The company enables various financial ecosystem stakeholders to transition from traditional bank guarantees to digital, insurance-backed solutions that unlock liquidity and strengthen business trust.

According to the Gurugram-based startup, it combines deep expertise in fintech, insurance, and risk management to create a scalable trust layer for India’s MSME ecosystem. The platform partners with leading insurers, financial institutions, and policy stakeholders to advance the adoption of surety bonds and drive inclusive economic growth.

By replacing traditional, collateral-heavy guarantees with insurance-backed, digital alternatives, surety bonds can unlock liquidity, expand credit access, and strengthen trust in business transactions.

“This is about building a new trust architecture for India’s financial system, one that expands opportunities for MSMEs to increase participation across Government and private supply chains,” said Aditya Tulsian, CEO and co-Founder, AxiTrust.

AxiTrust serves as the infrastructure enabler of this new surety economy, helping banks, insurers, and platforms deploy surety-backed solutions securely, at speed, and at scale.
