The society’s social committee, a group of volunteers, has organised the auction to run alongside the first Westmorland Harvest Ball.
Set to take place at North West Auctions on October 18, all 500 tickets for the ball sold out within a few hours.
The online auction, launched in collaboration with North West Auctions, aims to engage more people in supporting the two charities.
Organisers have already raised more than £20,000 for these two charities, and the amount is still increasing.
The Blue Skies NHS Charity specifically supports the haematology and oncology ward at Blackpool Victoria Hospital.
Set to run until 12pm on October 23, the auction offers more than 40 prizes donated by local businesses and individuals.
These include luxury getaways, fine dining experiences, sporting days, farming services, and other experiences.
Organisers have expressed gratitude for the overwhelming generosity shown across Westmorland and beyond.
A spokesperson for the society said: “In recent months, many local farming families have been personally affected by cancer, and the support from this ward has touched our community deeply.
“Sadly, some of those we set out to support have since lost their battle.
“The Harvest Ball and Auction have become a way for people to give back – to celebrate the strength of rural life and to support two charities that mean so much to our local farming community.”
