HT Brigham & Co, a Birmingham-based specialist in metal presswork, has refurbished a 250-ton Rhodes progression press to strengthen its manufacturing operations.
The upgrade is aimed at improving reliability, flexibility, and throughput in high-volume pressing applications.
Doug Allen, chief executive of HT Brigham said: “At the core of our Brigham Operating System (BOS) is the understanding that for our people to thrive, and they are the bedrock of our success, we must provide them with the optimal environment and the best tools.”
Following a management buyout in 2022, the refurbishment forms part of the company’s broader strategy to use data-led decision-making and continuous performance monitoring to enhance operations.
The Rhodes press, a key machine in multi-stage metal forming, will now operate with reduced downtime, greater consistency, and improved flexibility, helping future-proof production against evolving market and quality demands.
With more than 75 years in metal presswork, HT Brigham has grown from a single-hand-press workshop into a modern facility capable of supplying global markets.
