Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The Indian markets are in volatile space. The Nifty index is down nearly 30 points, hovering around the 24,800 mark. The Sensex index is down about 60 points, trading at a distance from the 81,000 mark. Eicher Motors, Max Health, M&M and Coal India are among the losers.
When it comes to Nifty, the index needs to close above 24,654 to report a weekly gain after last week’s drop.
The Nifty Bank index is also trading with some gains of about 100 points, remaining above the 55,000 mark. When we look at the broader markets, the Midcap and Smallcap indices are trading in a better space, outperforming the frontline indices. The Nifty Midcap index is up about 200 points. The Nifty Smallcap index is also up, about half a percent.
On the other hand, the IPO rush continues on the street with WeWork India’s ₹3,000 crore issue opening for subscription today.
Some of the biggest losers among the Nifty 500 stocks include Sun TV, Sammaan Capital, Adani Power, Max Health, Chola Fin, and Eicher Motors.
