Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The penultimate trading day of the week brings you the first results of the Nifty 50 constituents for the September quarter. India’s largest IT services company, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), will be reporting results after market closing hours today, thereby kick-starting proceedings for the Q2 earnings season.

Along with TCS, Tata Elxsi and GM Breweries will also be reporting their results. The Nifty had a near replica of Tuesday’s trading session on Wednesday, with every intraday dip getting bought and the subsequent recovery getting sold into. The index managed to defend the 25,000 mark courtesy of the IT stocks, which were the only sectoral gainers.

That 25,000 mark now holds the key for the Nifty today, while the 56,000 level, followed by 55,800 – 55,700, will be the key for the Nifty Bank. Today is also the weekly options expiry of all BSE contracts. Today’s session will also see reactions to business updates from companies like Senco Gold, Prestige Estates among others. Another IPO opens for subscription with Canara Robeco AMC, while LG Electronics India will close for subscription today.
