The Auburn Police Department hosted the 2024 Axon Roadshow on Thursday, offering law enforcement officers from Cayuga County and beyond a hands-on experience with the latest public safety technology.
The event, held in the department’s parking lot, featured demonstrations of new body cameras, drones, and a Taser simulator that allowed officers to train in realistic scenarios, such as a traffic stop involving a wanted suspect.
Auburn Police Officer Nate Barnes highlighted the value of the simulation, noting that it enhances officer confidence and readiness. The event, also open to the public, provided a unique opportunity for community members to see the equipment firsthand and understand the technology used by local law enforcement.
