This city is one of the best for its sense of community – it’s home to a thriving city and a beautiful coastline nearby. Newcastle is not only one of the UK’s most exciting cities but it’s also one of the most affordable. A listing on Zoopla shows a house for as little as £7,500 that is on sale at the moment with many other affordable properties across the city.

According to RightMove, house prices in Newcastle Upon Tyne have an overall average of £232,009 over the last year. Newcastle is famous for its spectacular bridges, breathtaking scenery, fascinating history, delicious food, and wild nightlife.

It’s also known for its museums, theaters, breweries, and markets.

The £7,500 house on Zoopla is a three bedroom terraced property on Colston Street, it has two bathroms and is close to several local amenities. It also has a garden and two spacious reception rooms making it great value for money.

For just £39,000 you could currently buy a semi-detached house on Normount Road which is a spacious property with three bedrooms and a garden. The property is located near to the Arthurs Hill area of Newcastle and can be purchased with a 10% deposit of just £3,900.

Located in the North East of England, you can get to Edinburgh from the city in just an hour and a half by train.

One visitor on Tripadvisor said: “The waterfront was a great spot but we definitely need to return to explore this city sights and bars/restaurant a more as we spent our days on coach trips around Northumbria. A great vibrant city to visit!”

Another visitor penned: “The Quayside or riverfront area of Newcastle and Gateshead along the River Tyne is arguably the most iconic part of this urban area.

“The waterfront has pedestrian areas to walk along the river plus restaurants and bars along the river.

“There are many places to eat and drink in the area and it all offers great views along the river with the many bridges spanning it.”

Newcastle has lots to offer for people wanting to move there, it has a metro which is a quick form of transport making it easy to get around.

There’s a beach not far from the city which is perfect to enjoy a walk along no matter the season.

In terms of cost, it’s one of the UK’s more affordable cities making it good value for money.

If you’re hoping to get the benefits of the city while also being close to the countryside, you won’t have to go far to be surrounded by nature.
