The unbelievable act a real estate agent was caught doing with a tenant’s car

    October 24, 20253 Mins Read

A couple has shared the shocking moment they came home to find a real estate agent driving their car.

The agent was taking photos of the property in preparation for a viewing, when one of the tenants arrived home and discovered their personal vehicle was being used without permission or prior warning.

Relaying the unbelievable moment on a Facebook group dedicated to rental nightmares, the tenant – who chose to stay anonymous – asked for advice on whether they should “name and shame” the agent.

“Our rental is going to be sold, no worries we prepared it for photos to happen today and viewings on this Saturday,” they wrote.

“Partner has come home this afternoon to the real estate agent driving our personal vehicle…you read that right…driving our personal vehicle.”

The renter explained the agent, who had picked up the car keys from a basket within the property, excused the shocking behaviour by claiming they were just moving the vehicle to take photos of the property.

“My partner lost his top hat at them as to be expected. The director of the real estate’s only response, ‘Sorry it won’t happen again,'” they wrote.

The tenant explained they have since filed a police report, and spoken with their rental agent, selling agent and the owner of the property, all of whom were horrified by the estate agent’s behaviour.

Commenters were outraged at the real estate agent’s conduct and questioned the validity of their reasoning, suggesting they could have photoshopped the vehicle out of the photos if necessary.

The tenant explained they were even more confused by the bizarre action as they had signed an agreement to allow the agent to take photos and photoshop their personal property out.

“That’s absolutely insane. This is why we should make sure we are home, makes you wonder what else they’ve done,” one commentator vented.

“I love to see someone ‘move’ the real estate agents car and see how they react ‘Oh sorry Mr real estate agent I was just moving it because I felt like it,'” another said.

“That’s wild! I absolutely would have done the same, as NO ONE but me drives my car!! Moving it or not,” someone else shared.

“That is DELUSIONAL behaviour! If you’re going to press charges don’t name and shame them. As much as I want to know, it will hurt your case against them. Wait till they’re charged, and then shame them,” another added.
