Numa Group acquires first regional UK property

    July 1, 20252 Mins Read

Berlin-based Numa Group is to open its first aparthotel in Brighton this summer as it gears up for wider UK expansion.

The group has acquired the MyBrighton hotel at 17 Jubilee Street with plans to convert it into 84 aparthotel units with 172 beds in partnership with NWH Group.

As with Numa’s other sites it will offer a fully digital guest experience, where customers check-out using a QR code and can text an online reception for help 24 hours a day.

Numa operates close to 9,000 aparthotel units in 15 countries and 36 cities. The Brighton launch is part of a plan to accelerate its UK expansion across major cities such as Manchester, Bristol, Belfast, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

It comes after the tech-led hospitality operator made its UK debut in London’s Bloomsbury in 2024 with Numa Bloom, which took over the former Bedford Corner hotel.

Last year Numa also acquired Native Places, the London-headquartered lifestyle aparthotel and serviced apartment business.

Philipp Rohweder, senior advisor real estate at Numa Group, said: “As a favourite destination for both domestic and international travellers, Brighton strengthens our footprint in the UK and demonstrates our commitment to bringing modern, digital-first accommodations to the country’s most exciting locations.”

Henry Jackson, head of hotel brokerage at Knight Frank, which acted on behalf of Numa, added: “This property’s prime location and Numa’s innovative approach will undoubtedly make it a landmark destination for travellers to Brighton.”
