Cotswolds streets with fast and slow property sales

    June 24, 20252 Mins Read

According to fast-buying property service Upstix, homes on Bridge Street, OX2, take just 48 days on average to sell.

This is significantly quicker than the national average of 147 days.

Cranmore Avenue in SN3 and Edgeway Road, OX3, are also popular, with properties taking around 50 and 51 days to sell, respectively.

Frederick Jones, CEO of Upstix, said: “How potential buyers feel about your home itself is just part of the selling story.

“They also need to imagine themselves living in your street and enjoying the surrounding area.

“So, if you’re looking to market a property in the Cotswolds in the coming months, don’t overlook that bigger picture.

“Write a list of what’s to love about where you live in the area and communicate that to your agent, if you’re using one, or to a property-buying company like ours who can use that data to help decide what we can offer you.”

On the other hand, some streets in the Cotswolds see a much slower property turnover.

Eastbank Drive, WR3, takes the longest, with properties sitting on the market for an average of 704 days before being sold.

Westmead Lane, SN15, and Greenwood Way, OX11, also have slow sales, with properties taking 652 and 570 days to sell, respectively.

Mr Jones said: “It’s also worth remembering that one buyer’s red flag could be another’s green light.

“Someone with no plans to have children could be put off by proximity to a school, meanwhile a young family might snap up a property in a desirable catchment area.

“Putting yourself in other buyers’ shoes can help you to identify selling points you have never considered.”

Upstix has identified several factors that can contribute to a property’s appeal, including being in a safe neighbourhood, near good schools, having good transport links, and being close to green spaces.

The company offers a fast route to selling a property, providing instant cash offers and completing transactions in as little as seven days.
