Channel Seven‘s Mark Ferguson has scored an impressive real estate deal after offloading his country estate for a cool $8.5 million.
The 59-year-old news anchor bought the 777-hectare block in the Southern Highlands with his wife Jayne in 2014 for $1.4 million.
Located near the small town of Crookwell, 223 km from Sydney, the property known as Hazeldean was sold last month.
It was first listed in September 2024 as a ‘livestock grazing enterprise’.
The Fergusons got their asking price in the sale after completely renovating the beautifully maintained 1880s-era four-bedroom homestead, The Daily Telegraph reported.
Highlights include a gorgeous modern kitchen with a twin range and a large dining space.

Other features include several cosy living areas, multiple working fireplaces and a classic covered ‘homestead’ veranda with timber finishing.
Ahead of the sale, the Fergusons, based in Sydney’s Paddington, had a manager overseeing the working farm’s operations.
The property is large enough to accommodate 3000 merino ewes and 150 cows.
It comes after Mark and Jayne recently celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary by revisiting their Italian honeymoon location in Positano and Capri.
Back in July, they told Woman’s Day that it was the first time they had been back to the romantic locations since they got hitched in June 1995.
‘We have almost a week on Capri staying at the very same hotel we stayed at all those years ago,’ Jayne told the publication.
‘So we’re very much looking forward to that.’
Since their beautiful wedding 30 years ago, Mark and Jayne have welcomed three sons, Jack, 27, Ted, 24, and Paddy, 20.

Mark currently co-anchors Sydney’s 7News with Angela Cox.
The veteran newsreader was widely speculated to be facing the shaft last year amid a staffing bloodbath at the network – but he made the cut.
At the time, Mark expressed his excitement for the new chapter alongside Angela.
‘I’m really looking forward to it,’ he said.
‘Ange will add so much extra to the bulletin each night – more experience, more energy and it will allow us to be much more versatile when big stories break,’ Ferguson said in a statement.
There was earlier speculation that Mark was set to be punted as the weekday night newsreader at Channel Seven amid several high-profile resignations at the embattled network.
