One of the Las Vegas Raiders’ young players who most stood out in a positive way in the team’s preseason opener t the Settle Seahawks last week was rookie quarterback Cam Miller.
The sixth-round draft pick from North Dakota State completed six of seven pass attempts for 76 yards and showed poise in a fourth-quarter comeback n which the Raiders forced a 23-23 tie.

While Miller was impressive on the surface, he also passed the metrics test. According to NFL analyst Warren Sharp, Miller was the eighth most efficient quarterback to play last week and there were a lot of quarterbacks who played around the league during alst week’s slate of games.
It was, indeed, an impressive start for Miller and if he can keep up his overall play and efficiency he could beat out Aidan O’Connell to be Geno Smith’s backup. Let’s see what Miller does Saturday against the San Francisco 49ers.
