On the negative, Upper Deck removed the Jambalaya insert from 2024-25 Metal Universe Hockey. While this was an initial concern throughout the hobby, hockey card enthusiasts have enjoyed some new inserts to the product.

Gold is the theme of a pair of new inserts in Upper Deck 2024-25 Metal Universe Hockey. Liquid Golds can be found 1:960 packs, or every 64 boxes. Connor McDavid, Sidney Crosby, and Kirill Kaprizov anchor this 25-card set of only veterans.
Matvei Michkov Gold Bullion
Gold Bullions can be found 1:80 packs, or every 5.3 boxes. Macklin Celebrini, Alex Ovechkin, and Matvei Michkov highlight this 35-card set of rookies and veterans.

Upper Deck 2024-25 Metal Universe Hockey received a score of 5.2. For $120 USD per box, Upper Deck 2024-25 Metal Universe is a reasonable buy. Past installments of Metal Universe Hockey have dropped in price after release day. It will be interesting to see if Upper Deck 2024-25 Metal Universe hold value.

Outside of the Precious Metal Gems, it is unlikely that many of the inserts are highly sought after in the secondary market.
This is more of a collector’s product versus the type of product you rip hoping to strike a valuable card.
