Grant football took a tough 40-6 loss on the road to Reed City (5-2, 3-1) on Friday night in a CSAA Gold matchup.
The Tigers fell behind quickly, trailing 13-0 after the first quarter and 33-0 by halftime.
The lone touchdown for Grant arrived on the feet of Eddie Beight in the third quarter. The fullback led the Tigers with 55 yards rushing on 14 carries.
Quarterback Jayden Newton was 8-of-15 passing for 103 yards for Grant. Sincere Hatch caught four passes for 60 yards while Paul Bonney pulled in four receptions for 43 yards.
The Tigers were led defensively by Gavin Kiliszewski with 5.5 tackles, Aiden Booth had five tackles, Ethan Delong had five and Brayden Jordan had 4.5. Hatch finished with 3.5.
The Tigers are now 2-5 overall and 0-4 in the CSAA Gold and next host Chippewa Hills for their Week 8 matchup.
