Charlotte, nursery manager at Copper Beeches, said: “Our children always amaze us – not just with their excitement to learn about sustainability, but with the energy they bring to every initiative.
“They don’t just follow the rules; they are actually eager to learn and have a deep sense of responsibility for the world around them.”
The Eco-Schools programme, established in 1994, supports more than one million children in England each year and operates in more than 100 countries worldwide.
This year, Copper Beeches was recognised for its achievements in biodiversity, healthy living and marine life.
One standout project involved the introduction of a wormery, which helped children learn about composting, soil health and the importance of worms in the ecosystem.
The nursery will hold an open day on Saturday, October 11, where families can learn more about its approach and programmes.
