Winchester-based business Chorus Life has introduced The Vita Programme, a six-month holistic scheme designed for people in the early years of retirement who want to take a proactive approach to their long-term health and wellbeing.
Chorus Life is a family-founded enterprise led by father and daughter John and Elsa Wakeman, along with programme lead Sarah Wakeman.
Elsa Wakeman, CEO and co-founder, said: “We believe the early years of retirement are a unique window.
“There is so much you can do to influence your health and fulfilment as you age – but you have to be intentional.

“When time becomes open-ended, it’s surprisingly hard to build momentum. The biggest challenge isn’t knowing what to do. It’s turning intention into consistent action.”
The programme focuses on “healthspan” rather than lifespan, aiming to support a high quality of life and resilience.
It emphasises five pillars of healthy ageing: locomotion, vitality, cognition, psychological health, and sensory health.
Participants take part as part of a small cohort, completing assessments and building routines.
The programme is structured around guidance from the World Health Organisation and is designed as a practical alternative to fragmented self-help or luxury longevity coaching.
Mr Wakeman said: “We’ve lived here for more than 35 years. We’ve seen first-hand the strength of the local ecosystem around healthy ageing.
“Winchester has an unusually engaged, health-conscious community, and inspiring venues that create the right environment for thoughtful work. It felt like the natural place to begin.”
While rooted in Winchester, cohorts are open to participants from across Hampshire and neighbouring counties, within roughly an hour’s travel.
Chorus Life describes itself as a “life navigation company,” designing structured, cohort-based programmes to help people approach major life transitions with confidence and community.
The Vita Programme is the company’s first launch.
All Chorus programmes use the Coxera Method, the company’s science-informed approach to behaviour change, designed to turn insight and inspiration into sustainable action.
Further information about the programme and upcoming cohorts can be found at chorus-life.com.
Cohorts for 2026 will begin in June, August, and November.
