    Abington police wish Detective Lieutenant Steven Fink a happy retirement

    The Abington Township Police Department is wishing Detective Lieutenant Steven Fink a happy retirement.

    From their announcement earlier today:

    After 34 years of extraordinary service to the Abington community and the Department Detective Lieutenant, Steve Fink, is retiring. Steve was born and raised in Abington Township and is a proud graduate of Abington High School. He began his career with the Department in 1991, where he spent years in the Patrol and Detective Divisions. In April of 2000, Detective Lieutenant Fink was promoted to the rank of Sergeant. During these years, he served in numerous specialty units and leadership roles to include Field Training Officer, Patrol Sergeant, Supervisor of our FTO Unit, DARE Officer, TAC Officer, TAC Team Supervisor/Team Leader, member of the Montgomery County Narcotic Enforcement Team, Special Investigations Unit (SIU) Detective and Detective Sergeant of SIU.

    In June of 2017, Steve was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant. As a member of the Department’s Command staff, Detective Lieutenant Fink served as a Platoon Commander, Commander of the Patrol Division, and most recently, the Commander of our Detective Division. Throughout his career, Steve has been relentless in his commitment to excellence and professionalism. Not only is he known for being one of the best crime fighters in the profession, he is also known as one of the most experienced professional investigators in the region and has been recognized multiple times for his expertise.

    Thank you, Detective Lieutenant Steve Fink, for your 34 years of dedicated service to the Department and the Community! Congratulations on your appointment to the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Detective Bureau.
