GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) – Residents of Gainesville crowded Mac’s Drive-Thru to celebrate the retirement of one of their workers with an epic send-off.
Almost all the roads surrounding Mac’s Drive-Thru were packed as countless cars lined up to give their orders and say goodbye to their favorite worker.
Sighle Williams has been working at Macs for 37 years, and Friday is her last day.
According to visitors, she is a local legend, and there’s no doubt that with the turnout seen today, she will be missed greatly.
“I’m just so overwhelmed, and I love everybody, and I appreciate through the years of seeing people, and I’m just thankful,” Sighle Williams shared.
The owner of Macs’ Ron Defilippo announced that all proceeds from today will go to Williams to help her kick off retirement.
