TBC Uzbekistan Announces Strategic Partnership With Visa – FF News

    October 22, 20242 Mins Read

TBC Bank Uzbekistan (TBC UZ), the country’s largest mobile-only bank, announces its long-term strategic partnership with Visa, set to broaden and expand its global payments and money transfers infrastructure.

TBC UZ is part of TBC Uzbekistan, a leading digital banking ecosystem in Central Asia serving 16 million unique registered users. This collaboration with Visa lays the groundwork for introducing Visa cards and additional payment solutions via Visa Direct, a payments platform enabling fast domestic and international fund transfers, broadening the payment options available to TBC’s customers and further improving their online shopping, international purchases and money transfer capabilities.

TBC UZ plans to begin issuing Visa cards, empowering seamless online shopping, including on global marketplaces like Amazon, and offering the convenience of using bank cards domestically and internationally. TBC UZ customers will also have access to a suite of loyalty scheme rewards, such as cashback bonuses and other perks. The Visa cards will be integrated into the existing suite of products available via the TBC Uzbekistan digital ecosystem, which in addition to TBC UZ also includes Payme, a digital payments app for individuals and small businesses; and Payme Nasiya (Payme Instalments), an instalment credit business.

TBC Uzbekistan is part of London-listed TBC Bank Group PLC.

Nika Kurdiani, CEO of TBC Uzbekistan, commented:

“Our partnership with Visa marks a significant milestone in our journey to provide innovative, modern and user-friendly financial services in Uzbekistan. The launch of new Visa products at TBC Uzbekistan will not only expand the payment and money transfer options for our customers, but also provide them a secure and a convenient way to manage their finances, both at home and abroad. We are committed to delivering the best-in-class digital banking experience, and this collaboration is a testament to our dedication to innovation and customer satisfaction.”

Yevgen Lisnyak, Senior Director, Head of Strategic Partnerships in Ukraine, Georgia, CIS and South-East Europe at Visa, commented:

“We are delighted to partner with TBC in Uzbekistan, Central Asia’s largest country by population, marked by incredible demand for modern digital financial services. Like TBC, we have operated in this country for years and are delighted that this collaboration is set to unlock new Visa card products and Visa Direct to millions of people, increasing their choices and widening opportunities for them to make international and domestic payments.’’
