FINEXUS Group recently reaffirmed its commitment to advancing Malaysia’s fintech and startup ecosystem by hosting a dynamic ideas exchange session recently for MAJECA MASSA, with Kolaxus and Cyberview as supporting partners.

The event brought together over 100 participants, including technology entrepreneurs, investors, and industry leaders, and featured startup pitching sessions by MSKD Technologies, Elliance, Simplify Networks, and Infra Mobile Digital.

Chuah Huai Jie, and MSKD Technologies CEO Marcus Lim at the FINEXUS fintech ideas exchange session in Kuala Lumpur.

“iDeas Xchange is a joint effort, organised to respond to mutual and shared, rising sentiment and trend for innovation, growth and collaboration between corporates and the startup entrepreneurs. The organisers, being the Malaysia South-South Association (MASSA) and the Malaysia-Japan Economic Association (MAJECA), have tied up with Kolaxus to expedite this partnership collaboration. The strong support from the ecosystem stakeholders, FINEXUS and Cyberview, augurs well to further bolster this startup ecosystem,” said Ng Su Fun, Executive Secretary, Malaysia South-South Association (MASSA).

“Cyberview’s role is to create an environment where innovations scale. We’ve integrated infrastructure with policy, academia and community. Now Cyberjaya is a living lab that empowers not just international, but most importantly local tech companies to build confidently and compete globally. And through companies such as FINEXUS with initiatives like the Ideas Xchange and platforms such as MyXaaS, we see a powerful example of innovation rooted in local ingenuity, global ambition, and strategic collaboration all of which are strongly aligned with the government’s Made by Malaysia aspiration,” said Dato’ Romli Ishak, Chairman of Cyberview Sdn Bhd.

“Kolaxus created IdeasXchange through its partnership with MASSA and MAJECA to turn innovation and collaboration into a national strength. It is a platform where ideas meet opportunity and where Malaysia’s future innovators begin their journey toward impact. We are deeply grateful to ecosystem partners like FINEXUS and Cyberview for their unwavering support in driving this shared vision forward,” said Sivavenayakam Velayutham, Founder and Managing Director, Kolaxus.

    A Legacy of Fintech Excellence

FINEXUS Group Director of Strategy and Transformation Joanne Loh opened the session by sharing insights from the company’s 25-year journey in financial technology.

“Trusted by over 100 banks, financial institutions, and corporates across ASEAN — and regulated by the banking authority, Mastercard, and Visa — FINEXUS is proud to be one of the region’s leading payment technology providers,” Joanne said.

“With RM100 million in shareholders’ funds and a proven track record in card management outsourcing, payment processing, and regulatory technology, our mission remains clear: to help businesses build, scale, and thrive in the digital finance and AI era.”

    Driving Malaysia’s MADANI Economy Framework

In support of the MADANI Economy Framework introduced by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Joanne highlighted FINEXUS’ alignment with Malaysia’s national objectives via MyXaaS Innovation Platform.

She explained that MyXaaS is designed to build a top 20 global startup ecosystem, enhance startup quality through ready-to-use fintech tools, and empower SMEs with AI, Big Data, and cloud solutions to strengthen export competitiveness.

“True innovation comes from creating disruptive technologies from zero to one and not merely making improvements,” Joanne said. “Corporates and startups should co-create bold new ideas that open new market frontiers, combining the strength of corporates to scale with the agility of startups to disrupt.”

MyXaaS: A Foundry for Fintech Builders

To advance this vision, FINEXUS introduced MyXaaS as a foundry for fintech builders — a platform designed to help startups innovate faster, scale securely, and bring products to market confidently.

Joanne, a former Meta (Facebook) professional and holder of three Mastercard patents, shared, “We built MyXaaS to help startups grow, one at a time. Our dream is to see five homegrown unicorns emerge from Malaysia’s own Silicon Valley.”

Through MyXaaS, startups gain access to ready-to-deploy APIs and SDKs, leveraging FINEXUS’ million-ringgit infrastructure, regulatory licenses, and technical expertise. The platform supports e-wallet and card issuance for DuitNow, Visa, and Mastercard, as well as multi-payment enablement via DuitNow, Alipay+, Visa, and Mastercard.

All MyXaaS-built applications are hosted in FINEXUS’ fully owned Tier III and PCI DSS Level 1 certified data centres, ensuring robust enterprise-grade data protection.

FINEXUS Group Director of Strategy and Transformation Joanne Loh explaining how the MyXaaS platform helps resolve key challenges faced by startups.

Empowering Startups to Scale and Succeed

“With our 25-year record working with the banking authority, Visa, and Mastercard, we can help startups fast-track fintech approvals and scale efficiently,” Joanne added.

“Startups can rely on one trusted partner for tools, regulatory compliance, infrastructure, and funding, allowing them to focus on innovation and revenue growth.”

The MyXaaS model also empowers startups to diversify their income by launching e-wallet cards or becoming FINEXUS POS solution agents, unlocking recurring revenue opportunities and expanding market reach.

    Building Malaysia’s Future in Fintech

By hosting MyXaaS startup events and partnering with organisations such as MAJECA MASSA, Kolaxus, and Cyberview, FINEXUS continues to drive collaboration, open innovation, and digital transformation across Malaysia’s fintech ecosystem.

“Innovation takes courage, as it means embracing struggles, uncertainties, and setbacks,” Joanne concluded. “But when corporates and startups join forces, they can turn ambitious ideas into lasting impacts.”
