The Economic Development Department’s Fintech Webinar Series 2025 continues on Friday [Aug 15], featuring Tiffany Austin of the Bermuda Monetary Authority, who will discuss the influence of the Digital Asset Business Regulatory Framework.
A spokesperson said, “The Economic Development Department [EDD] is pleased to announce the next installment of its Fintech Webinar Series 2025, on Friday, 15 August 2025, at 12 pm. This event will explore the Influence of the Digital Asset Business Regulatory Framework in a virtual session featuring Tiffany Austin, Assistant Director, Supervision [FinTech] at The Bermuda Monetary Authority.
“This virtual session is part of the Government’s ongoing efforts to promote education, engagement, and international collaboration in support of Bermuda’s Fintech ecosystem. Ms. Austin’s presentation will offer participants an overview, including:
- The BMA’s Role in the local and global financial system;
- Why Bermuda is considered a leading jurisdiction for digital asset business;
- What do fintech newcomers need to know when exploring opportunities in Bermuda; and
- Are there any sectors supported or influenced by digital assets in Bermuda.”
