Trump’s Disclosure Shows Over $1M in Cryptocurrency Holdings

    August 16, 20242 Mins Read

Donald Trump, the former President of the United States of America, has declared that he owns more than $1 million in cryptocurrency and has earned $300,000 from branded Bibles. This disclosure made on Thursday contains some interesting information about his financial affairs.

Besides the Bible profits, Trump has between $1m and $5m invested in cryptocurrencies, according to CNBC. The disclosure reveals a cryptocurrency wallet and a “virtual ethereum key,” proving his significant stakes in digital currencies.

This is a change of tune from when he had referred to cryptocurrency as being a scam. The shift in Trump’s stance on crypto can be seen in the context of the broader shifts in his stance, which was shaped by the lobbying of the industry and interest from his supporters, especially the young people.

Trump has been less hostile to crypto and has stressed the importance of the U. S. participation to counter China. His campaign has a “crypto army”, which means he is actively involved with the crypto community.

In the same year, Trump estimated the value of his social media company, Truth Social, at between $5 million and $25 million. This year he has upped the figure to more than $50 million, though it has been a gradual process. He also has a significant increase in trademarks in China from two last year to over 100 in the latest report.

Trump’s branded Bible, which is referred to as “The Greenwood Bible” costs $59.99 and includes the handwritten chorus from Lee Greenwood’s song “God Bless the U.S.A. ” The signed copy of it costs $1,000. These Bibles have sold well and have brought Trump an income of $300,000.

Federal candidates and officeholders are mandated to declare their financial statements annually; this gives information on their wealth, stock, and earnings.
