Cryptocurrency Industry Calls for Changes to Social Media Regulations

    October 13, 20241 Min Read

Poles are still losing significant amounts of money because they trust ads created by scammers. Traps are mainly set on social media. It happens that a well-known person is used to promote an investment, but their image is used unlawfully. Experts are urging government authorities that solutions to limit this problem are urgently needed. They primarily propose introducing stricter regulations regarding advertising and verifying sponsored content, as well as quickly removing traces of scams. Additionally, experts note that popular social media platforms could face consequences, as evidenced by a recent ban issued by the President of the Polish Data Protection Office (UODO). They also emphasize the need to improve the financial literacy of Poles.
