Portuguese energy company Epd Renováveis has reached an agreement to sell renewable energy produced by a 15 Megawatt (MW) solar project in Dubois County, Indiana, United States to Google for 100 years.
In a statement, the Portuguese company explains that the project should come into operation in 2025 and will strengthen Google’s goal of constantly operating with carbon-free energy in all networks by 2030. With this contract EDP consolidates its strong presence in North America, where it has 3,1 gigawatts (GW) of solar capacity in operation and under construction.
