Upper Deck is taking its partnership with DC to the next level via its new Skybox Metal Universe Batman collection.
Upper Deck’s Skybox Metal Universe cards typically combine sporting icons with metallic and space themes, but now it’s the turn of Gotham City’s most famous residents to take the stage. Skybox Metal Universe Batman cards will include stunning comic book art, along with extra special cards to collect.
First and foremost, collectors will want to keep their eyes peeled for Precious Metal Gems, and even a 1 of 1 Gold PMG featuring Batman himself. The set’s Jambalaya cards will also be highly sought after, distinctive, and hard to miss due to their unique shape, demonstrated via the Robin Jambalaya card below, which will be a part of the upcoming Skybox Metal Universe Batman set.
Also waiting to be discovered are cards featuring original art sketches of the characters from some of the DC comics in which they’ve appeared. There are also autographed cards signed by DC comic book artists waiting to be discovered.
The Set Will Include Exclusive New Card Types And Themed Inserts
The Skybox Metal Universe Batman format will be more than just the regular card types with superhero makeovers. Some of the other cards included in Upper Deck’s new set will be Comic Cuts, From the Diary of Alfred Pennyworth booklets, and metal technology cards.
The set will also introduce highly collectible thematic inserts, rarer cards dedicated to specific characters, locations, or even moments from DC history. There’s an insert card featuring Arkham Asylum, one starring The Clown Prince of Crime, and a Poison Ivy Touch card, all waiting to be discovered.
The Skybox Metal Universe Batman retail box is available now at The Upper Deck store, while the accompanying Hobby box can be found at local comic book and hobby shops.
