The National FFA Organization announces 2024 American Star Award Winners

The National FFA Organization has recognized four students with its top honor, the American Star Awards.
Paul Oliver of Georgia was awarded as the American Star Farmer.
Oliver established his own farming operation in 2018 for his Supervised Agricultural Experience.
He tells Brownfield he plans to continue to expand his business operations in the future.

Landon Haney of Ohio is the Star in Agribusiness.
Haney launched Haney’s Mowing and Landscaping, LLC during the start of his high school experience.
He says he hopes to expand his business in the future.

Lizzie Schafer of Illinois was named the Star in Agriscience.
Schafer’s research SAE started with Schafer Stock Farm to increase IVF calf production.
She currently attends Kansas State University pursing a degree in Animal Science.

Wylie Schwebach of New Mexico is the Star in Agricultural Placement.
He started his family’s business, Schwebach’s LLC, in 2018 for his SAE.

The American Star Awards are presented to FFA members who demonstrate outstanding agricultural skills and competencies through their SAEs.
Cargill, Case IH, John Deere and Syngenta sponsor the American FFA Degree program and the American Star Awards.
