Talbots Law expands agricultural law team

    November 4, 20252 Mins Read

Talbots Law, a national law firm with 19 offices across England and Wales, has strengthened its agricultural law team with the appointment of Sara Pickerin and Nicholas Playford as directors.

The duo brings more than 40 years’ collective experience in rural law, increasing the team to four directors.

Their expertise will enhance Talbots’ comprehensive agricultural services, including strategic land management, diversification projects and repurposing farmland for ventures such as solar installations, holiday accommodation, farm shops and other income-generating initiatives.

Operating across rural hubs including Leek, Market Drayton, Telford, and Worcester, the agricultural law team continues to support hundreds of clients across England and Wales.

Sara and Nicholas’ appointments reinforce Talbots Law’s commitment to delivering specialist legal services to the agricultural sector and growing its presence at industry events such as LAMMA 2026.

Sean Spinetto, head of agriculture at Talbots Law, said: “We are incredibly proud of the growth we’ve achieved in this specialist area of law and thrilled to welcome Sara and Nicholas as directors within our team.

“Attracting top talent is a testament to the reputation we are building in the agricultural sector.

“Their expertise will help us continue supporting farmers, landowners and rural businesses with both the challenges and opportunities they face, particularly around land diversification and futureproofing agricultural enterprises for many years to come.”
