A Bronx man had his head fatally bashed in by a metal locker door over the weekend, according to law-enforcement sources.
The victim, 48, was found unconscious in a Phelan Place apartment building just before 9 p.m. Saturday, where police said he’d been beaten “multiple times in the head and body with a metal object.”
Law-enforcement sources confirmed that metal object was a locker door.

The victim was rushed to a hospital but later died.
A 37-year-old person of interest has been taken into custody, but no charges have been filed as of Sunday evening.
What led to the deadly altercation remains unclear, but the New York Daily News reported both victims lived in the building.
The person of interest was also hospitalized.
