    Nouvelles condamnations chez les fournisseurs d’énergie pour « pratiques commerciales trompeuses »

    La pression s’accentue sur les fournisseurs d’énergie. Selon nos informations, l’un d’entre eux, le britannique Ovo Energy, racheté en 2022 par l’Italien Eni, vient d’être condamné par le tribunal judiciaire de Paris. La juridiction lui a infligé une sanction de 30 000 euros pour « pratiques commerciales trompeuses ». C’est l’aboutissement d’une procédure initiée il y a trois ans, en pleine crise de l’énergie, suite à la plainte déposée par l’association de consommateurs CLCV (Consommation, logement et cadre de vie).

    Qu’est-il reproché à Ovo ? D’avoir brutalement augmenté les tarifs appliqués auprès de ses clients (d’une quinzaine de pourcents) fin 2021, mais surtout d’avoir insuffisamment communiqué sur cette augmentation.
