Miley Cyrus is ditching her maximalist ‘80s-coded style streak for barely-there minimalism straight out of the ‘90s. On Tuesday, the Maybelline brand ambassador teased the beauty brand’s new serum lipstick collection while embracing her showgirl MO: modeling a bright red lip color while belting out songs and shimmying in a barely-there look. Cyrus reinvented the ‘90s micro minidress, dancing in a tiny LWD with massive sideboob-baring cutouts that completely exposed both sides of her body.
In a video shared on both Cyrus and Maybelline’s Instagram accounts on November 11, the “Flowers” singer updated the mini slip dress that was an It girl staple for stars like Sarah Jessica Parker and Naomi Campbell. Featuring a straight-across boat neckline, Cyrus’s little white dress bared her body from shoulder to knee, thanks to bare panels that spanned the length of her LWD. Delicate silver metal chains, heart-shaped pendants, and pieces of string attached the frock at the shoulders, sides and hips, keeping the NSFW look in place as Cyrus danced for the camera. The “Party in the U.S.A.” singer flashed some sideboob and her many tattoos as she twirled in the commercial.

Cyrus, who appeared to ditch her underwear for the revealing look, contrasted her dress’s thigh-grazing hemline with a floor-length white fluffy coat. A pair of white ankle-wrap heels snaked up her calves. The “Wrecking Ball” star styled her stomach-length blonde hair in middle-parted rock star curls with plenty of volume, framing her high-octane glamour. Showing off a pair of delicate diamond drop earrings, Cyrus accentuated her features with a white shimmering eyeshadow, soft sculpted brows, and a bold red matte pout, courtesy of the brand’s serum lipstick line.
