Konami has finally revealed a release date for the Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2 as part of the PlayStation State of Play event today, and it officially confirms that the collection will be heading to Xbox on August 27, 2026!
This collection incorporates three games — Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, the Game Boy Color title Metal Gear: Ghost Babel, and former PSP exclusive Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. The latter isn’t a massive deal for Xbox fans anymore considering how it’s since been made available standalone on the Xbox Store, but Metal Gear Solid 4 has always been a PlayStation 3 exclusive, so that’s definitely the big story here.
Pre-orders are reportedly beginning today, and if it’s anything like the original Master Collection, you should be able to grab these games individually as well, and we assume that’ll be a popular choice for Metal Gear Solid 4 on Xbox.
Speaking of the original collection, both Metal Gear Solid 1 and Metal Gear Solid 3 are also getting some improved visuals as part of a free update today, so it’s worth checking those out and seeing what you think!
