Konami has been on a winning streak for almost a year now. It first delivered the Silent Hill 2 Remake, which was very good. Then, recently, we got Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, which did have some hiccups when it came to the game’s performance. But thanks to their constant support and timely release of patches, players still love the game.
Now, they have another successful title, with Silent Hill f, a brand new Silent Hill game which we haven’t seen in over a decade, which you must absolutely pick up if you are a fan of the genre or SH series.
The good news is Konami has more plans for the Metal Gear series; they recently did a survey allowing players to select which game they want to see remade next.
To make things even better, they still aren’t even done with MGS Delta: Snake Eater yet. A new Fox Hunt mode has been confirmed, which is coming next month!
Metal Gear Official recently posted on X (formerly Twitter), the global release timings for Fox Hunt. They are as follows:
- New York — 9 PM (EDT), October 29
- Los Angeles — 6 PM (PDT), October 29
- São Paulo — 10 PM (BRT), October 29
- London — 1 AM (GMT), October 30
- Paris — 2 AM (CET), October 30
- Istanbul — 4 AM (GMT+3), October 30
- Riyadh — 4 AM (AST), October 30
- Tokyo — 10 AM (JST), October 30
- Hong Kong — 9 AM (HKT), October 30
- Sydney — 12 PM (AEDT), October 30
Fox Hunt is a game mode that players will receive as a free update. It has two modes, and both of them can be played with up to 12 players. Here is how they will work, as explained in their official blog post:
- Survival Capture: A tense, multi-phase mission where victory hinges on capturing the elusive Kerotan frogs. Their numbers dwindle as the match progresses, forcing players into intense clashes as they race to secure frogs and outlast their opponents.
- Survival Intrude: A high-pressure mission where players must hold their ground inside a designated zone to progress through each phase. As the match advances, the number of zones shrinks, making stealth and positioning even more critical.
Players will get “AT-CAMO”, a suit that is equipped for every player. It lets you easily change your camouflage to adapt to the surroundings you are in. For example, choosing AT-Tree Bark and then standing next to a tree will give you a camouflage of the tree bark to help you blend in better with your surroundings.
Additionally, players will also get “Naked Sense”, which will allow them to detect enemies and items in their vicinity.
The good news is, this mode will not contain any in-game purchases, so microtransactions are out of the question. But sadly, this mode does not support cross-platform multiplayer. However, players can enjoy private matches either by setting up a room using an ID or by inviting friends.
