On September 29, 2023 The Sphere at The Venetian Resort has become one of the premiere places to experience a concert. The rounded architectural build on the outside if covered in LED screens that project crystal clear images, while inside the screens create a truly immersive experience.
A wide variety of artists have already had successful residencies at the venue including the Eagles, Dead &Company, Phish and U2. Now the Sphere is reportedly in for another type of act to roll through: None other than the legendary heavy metal band Metallica.
According to local Vegas culture site Vital Vegas, it is rumored that Metallica could play the Sphere in the fall of 2026, though nothing has been confirmed or officially released yet. However fans are hopeful that it could be really happening.
“As a massive Metallica fan, and knowing their desire to innovate (and make gobs of money), this was just a matter of time,” wrote one X user. “Metallica fans travel like few others, and the band & management are going to make this absolutely spectacular.”
Some noted that the projected time may be off as the band is slated to play in Europe, but are hopeful the show happens soon.
“Oh please be true. Oh please be true. On please be true,” begged one fan.
