Here’s A Look At The Performance For Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater On Xbox

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is officially out now on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, but as you may have heard with the PS5 version, it doesn’t run perfectly smoothly on console by any means.

YouTuber Destin did some testing of the Xbox version earlier in the week, and found that it’s basically suffering from the same issues as PS5 – most notably quite a lot of frame rate drops in the 60FPS performance mode.

The 30FPS quality mode isn’t fully stable on Series X or Series S either, although it’s not as affected.

You can see an example of performance mode (Series X only) at its worst in the tweet below:

Spoiler warning – Xbox Series X Metal Gear Solid Delta has similar performance issues. pic.twitter.com/chBUVvFP2L— Destin (@DestinLegarie) August 26, 2025

Seemingly in response, Konami has issued a statement today promising to fix “multiple reports of issues” but without actually mentioning what they are – although we assume the FPS drops will be involved in this.

The tweet also outlines a few bugs that are being targeted for future updates:

Notice: METAL GEAR SOLID Δ: SNAKE EATER Issues

We’ve received reports of several issues and are preparing a patch to address them.

We’ll share an update as soon as it’s ready. Thank you for your patience and support.#MGSDelta #MetalGearSolid pic.twitter.com/1036atQnzX

You can check out the video at the top of the article for a full breakdown on how Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater runs on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, with quality mode definitely seeming like the way to go for now.

Alternatively, if you’re looking for super-solid performance at 60FPS on Xbox Series X, you might want to wait just a bit longer until they’ve implemented this first patch. We’ll obviously keep an eye out and let you know when it arrives.
