This year’s event will be the 150th Hawkshead Show, held on Tuesday, August 19 at Hawkshead Hall Farm near Ambleside.
The family-friendly event will feature all the traditional animal classes on the Main Field, including sheep, horses, ponies, dogs, and young handler classes, as well as the chance to showcase your pets!
With the weather forecast looking hot and sunny, there will be plenty of activities for visitors of all ages, from free sports to fell races, a petting farm and carving workshops.
This year’s Horticultural and Homecraft Marquee will host over 60 trade stands selling home produce, flowers, crafts, vegetables and art.

New for this year, a programme of live cooking demonstrations will run throughout the day in the food hall including Hawkshead Relish, Head chef Joe Daly from Billys Barr & Restaurant, Pennington’s Spirits & Liquor, and Out Of The Box.

To celebrate this special anniversary, this year’s event will be followed by an after-show dance on Saturday, August 23 on Hawkshead Recreation Ground, with live music from Soul Survivors, a raffle and an auction with prizes to be won.
Tickets can be purchased at www.hawksheadshow.co.uk, costing £10 for an adult, £5 for a child, and under 5s go free, with free parking on site.
