Galloo selects AMCS’ platform to manage metal recycling operations

    August 20, 20242 Mins Read

Galloo has chosen the AMCS Platform to manage its metal recycling operations across 42 sites.

Based in Belgium, Galloo manages the recycling of over 1 million tons of metal every year, employing an extensive workforce of over 750 personnel. With annual revenues exceeding €600M, Galloo’s commitment to sustainable recycling extends above and beyond the norm.

In 2023, Galloo undertook an evaluative market survey to identify viable solutions capable of supporting and enhancing its metal recycling operations. They examined several types of solutions, ranging from generic and custom-built to industry-specific applications. Upon final evaluation, Galloo opted for the AMCS Platform, a solution that fully supports metal recycling businesses. Galloo’s decision was influenced by AMCS Group’s experience in the metal recycling sector. In addition, AMCS Group’s customer community reaffirmed the choice, serving as influential factors in the establishment of this partnership.

The AMCS Platform will be pivotal in supporting Galloo’s eco-conscious approach to metal recycling. Galloo’s solution also encompasses AMCS Enterprise Management, AMCS API Integrations, AMCS Smart Dispatch and Mobile, AMCS Scale, AMCS Mobile Yard Management, and AMCS Academy.

“As we journey towards a more circular world, AMCS will be a valuable partner,” commented Steve Decroubele, head of IT at Galloo. “Our decision to select AMCS was shaped by their exceptional industry expertise and solid reputation, spanning over thirty years, along with their significant customer footprint in metal recycling. Furthermore, we have great confidence in AMCS and trust in the robust capabilities of the AMCS Platform, making them our ideal long-term partner to accelerate us towards our sustainability objectives.”

With the AMCS Platform, Galloo anticipates benefits such as a reliable and time-efficient weighbridge service, amplified financial and operational control, and effective inventory management. The platform also delivers integrated solutions for transport business processes and intercompany transactions, coupled with assuring regulatory and environmental compliance. Additionally, AMCS will facilitate data integration and centralization, while also supporting Galloo’s digitalization initiatives.
