A cult-favorite energy drink flavor just inspired a rather unlikely collaboration with a beloved cookie chain–and no, it’s not a “dirty soda” like we’ve seen pop up elsewhere.
Bloom’s highly sought-after Sparkling Crisp Apple flavor went viral when it landed in Target stores this past August, and we have a feeling its new collaboration with Chip City will follow a similar fate.
While other chains look to attract more fans with limited-edition drink offers, Bloom is lending its flavor profile to enhance the product that Chip City already excels at. The chain, which has over 50 locations in several states (including Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Virginia), has set itself apart from the competition with its own lineup of 100+ rotating cookie flavors each year.
Bloom’s Sparkling Crisp Apple Energy Drink Gets Its Own Menu Item at Chip City Cookie
On Tuesday, a spokesperson revealed to Parade that the two popular brands had come together to work some sweet, seasonal magic and offer a menu item typically reserved for fall fairs and farmstand bakeries during harvest season in New England, and famously, over the pond in England: an Apple Fritter. Well, the Chip City version anyway.

Peter Phillips, co-founder and CEO of Chip City Cookies, said the company is so excited to “bring the tastes of fall to life with our new Crisp Apple Cookie,” inspired by Bloom’s Sparkling Energy.
This limited-edition treat promises to blend the warm, comforting flavor of apple pie with “just the right touch” of sweetness and spice. It’s a little crisp, a little sweet, and 100 percent fall, according to Phillips.
It starts with sugar cookie dough, which is then spiced with cinnamon, mixed with glazed donuts, and topped with apple pie filling and vanilla icing.
From what we’ve been told, Chip City’s new Crisp Apple Cookie will be available at all Chip City bakeries ($7) as a special for National Apple Day on Tuesday, Oct. 21. It will then make a larger (but still limited) run for a few days beginning on Friday, Oct. 24 and running through Thursday, Oct. 30, but only for the promotional period–or as long as supplies last.
We presume it pairs well with Bloom’s popular Crisp Apple Energy Drink (or some fresh apple cider), but for fans of apple-everything, the Crisp Apple Cookie is likely just fine on its own.
That said, as for the concept, we appreciate the creativity and can already envision this type of collaboration being replicated with potential partnerships. Could you imagine a lemon cookie with Alex’s Lemonade Stand? Or for the more adventurous, a Cherry Coke flavor? Arguably, the opposite could be done too–who wouldn’t want to see Bloom Energy try its best at Chip City’s Blueberry Cheesecake? All of that said, these are just some suggestions, and should Chip City ever need a taste tester…we might know some qualified parties.
What do you think? Is this the type of collaboration you’d like to see more of? Let us know in the comments!
