The show takes place at Salesbury Hall from Friday 18 July to Sunday 20 July in the picturesque heart of Ribchester.

This year, visitors will be able to enjoy an even greater range of activities at the event by popping into Lancashire County Council’s exhibit to find out more about what the county council offers. On hand to talk to people at the three-day event will be staff from a range of county council services, including:

Also on display will be show jumping, ferrets, falcons, giant tortoises, donkey rides, tractors, sheep shearing demonstrations and a military display, while dozens of stalls and locally sourced food will be available.

There will also be a chance to try out ground breaking equipment at the county council’s stalls, including hi-tech headsets to demonstrate road safety and a host of family friendly children’s activities thanks to the council’s Children’s and Cultural Services teams.

The popular countryside show will form the start of the county council’s #LancsSummer campaign, providing information about exactly how people can make the most of the county council’s host of services this summer.

County Councillor Stephen Atkinson, leader of Lancashire County Council, said:

“This will be a fantastic, three-day event, and we’re very much looking forward to being on hand to speak to people about a range of our services.

“It will celebrate the very best of Lancashire in the beautiful heart of the Ribble Valley, and there will be county council staff available at stalls from services including Children, family & wellbeing, cultural services, and the Forest of Bowland National Landscape Partnership, to name but a few.

“This event will provide a chance to enjoy some traditional, family fun in the countryside, while also speaking first hand to staff from a host of county council services, so why not come down and find out what we can offer for the people of Lancashire throughout the summer?”

*The Royal Lancashire Agricultural Show is set to take place from Friday 18 July to Sunday 20 July in the grounds of the Salesbury Hall Estate.

Opening times are 9.30am to 5.30pm, and the postcode is PR3 3XR.
