    Commodity Watch: Copper futures rebound

    August 22, 20241 Min Read

New Delhi: Copper prices on Wednesday rose 0.53 per cent to Rs812.50 per kilogram in the futures market on the back of higher spot demand. On Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), copper contracts for delivery in September traded higher Rs4.25 or 0.53 per cent at Rs812.50 per kg in a business turnover of 5,727 lots. Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to the raising of bets by participants.

Aluminium futures rise on fresh bets

Aluminium futures climbed 0.37 per cent to Rs229.55 per kilogram as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market. On MCX, aluminium contracts for September delivery increased 85 paise or 0.37 per cent to Rs229.55 per kg in a business turnover of 1,552 lots. Analysts said fresh positions created by traders amid demand from consuming industries supported aluminium prices in the futures market.
