XAG Co Ltd, one of China’s largest smart agricultural drone makers, unveiled two new models of farming drones in Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong province, on Thursday, further advancing the company’s smart far technological ecosystem.
The new generation R100 and R200 agricultural drones have undergone comprehensive upgrades from structural design and intelligent controls, to task and power systems, according to the company.
Since introducing the agricultural drone platform in 2020, the company has been continuously driving innovation and breakthroughs in ground-intelligent agricultural machinery technology, according to Peng Bin, founder and CEO of XAG.
“The new models will help farmers further reduce production costs and pesticide waste while increasing planting yields,” said Peng.
Currently, compared to field production, scenarios like greenhouses and orchards are limited by space and terrain, making crop operations very challenging, with manual spraying being labor-intensive, inefficient and posing risks of poisoning.
“As small-sized ground intelligent agricultural machinery, the new series is compact, flexible, intelligent and operationally safe and reliable, serving as powerful partners in addressing the challenges of crop operations in orchards and greenhouses,” said Peng.
