Now in its 14th year, the award recognises products and exhibitors that push boundaries while delivering tangible benefits to farmers across the country.
Each year, the finalists showcase practical solutions designed to address real-world challenges faced by those working the land. For visitors to AgriScot, these innovations offer a glimpse into the tools and technologies that will define farming’s next chapter.

“This competition continues to recognise products and exhibitors that not only push boundaries but deliver practical benefits to the farmers forming the backbone of the industry,” said AgriScot chairman Gilmour Lawrie.
Eight businesses have reached the 2025 finals, with the winner set to be announced on the morning of AgriScot at their trade stand at approximately 9.30am at AgriScot on Wednesday, November 19.
The judging panel includes editor of the Scottish Farmer, John Sleigh; industry consultant at Owen Farm Services, Tracey Roan; and winner of the 2024 AgriScot Business Skills Competition, Bruce Adkin.
Bruce Adkin said: “It’s really exciting to be part of the judging panel this year. I’m looking for ideas that have the biggest impact on farms – improving productivity and efficiency while cutting costs. It’s great to see so many clever solutions coming through that show how fast the industry is moving.”
John Sleigh added: “The quality of innovation on show at AgriScot never fails to amaze me. Across the breadth and depth of Scottish farming, we see new products being developed and released that push the industry forward. I’m excited to meet this year’s finalists and learn how they will help the sector.”
Tracey Roan echoed these comments: “Innovation isn’t just about new ideas or products – it’s about practical solutions that help farmers and drive the industry forward. It’s a privilege to be part of the judging panel again this year.”
