from Berks County Department of Agriculture
Berks County Department of Agriculture invites the public to an Agriculture & Natural Resources Career Fair on Thursday, Nov. 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., at the Leesport Farmers Market.
Agriculture today is changing – only 10% of people who work in agriculture are farmers! The other 90% work in diverse supporting fields, such as biotechnology, robotics, engineering and mechanics, business management, economics and finance, education and research, forestry, lumber and wood products, agronomy, animal production, entomology, veterinary science, food production and packaging, landscaping, and conservation and natural resources.
Join us and be inspired by exciting career opportunities in agriculture and natural resources with exhibitors from businesses, government agencies, and universities. Participants will have the ability to speak with exhibitors who will share their knowledge and enthusiasm for agriculture and its many related industries. It is also an excellent occasion to establish new job opportunities, summer internships, job shadowing, and volunteering opportunities.
If you have further questions regarding the Agriculture & Natural Resources Career Fair, please contact the Berks County Department of Agriculture at 610-378-1844 or DeptofAg@berkspa.gov.
Pre-register at https://lp.constantcontactpages.com/ev/reg/qqzzadm before Nov. 1, 2024, to be entered into a drawing. There is no cost to attend, and there will be free refreshments and participation prizes.
