Choosing your Real Estate Agent? « Euro Weekly News

    January 21, 20263 Mins Read

EWN talks with property expert Peter Bowerman about the Costa del Sol property market.

My real estate agency journey started in the Corporate world 38 years ago in London. After yearning to create a better lifestyle for myself, and family, we decided to take the plunge and move to Spain 23 years ago and set up our very own professional Master real estate agency.

Searching for our new home in Spain at that time, gave us a real insight into how other agencies ran their businesses and we decided there and then to learn from their mistakes. For instance, we spent weeks thoroughly searching through all the agents’ websites and carefully selected our top properties from 5 different agencies. We organised viewings with these agencies to see our top 30 properties. However, when we turned up to each of the viewing days, the agents started showing us completely different properties, nothing like our original list. When we questioned why we weren’t seeing the properties we had carefully chosen, after a few excuses it turned out that none of the properties we had selected from their websites were available, as their websites were a year or two out of date. That to us was crazy, especially as we were told we had confirmed viewing appointments. Although this infuriated us for our personal property search, we made a mental note that our new Spanish real estate business would pay particular attention to our clients’ journeys from every angle of the business, making sure that their experience is easy and pleasurable from start to finish and delivers the results and properties that our clients are actually looking for. A few months later “Overseas Dreams” opened its doors and we have been successfully making clients overseas dreams a reality ever since.

If you’re looking to buy a property on the Costa del Sol, you really need to invest a little time explaining to us exactly what you are looking for, so we can guide you to the right properties. We then search through thousands of properties looking for the most suitable to your requirements and with our extensive knowledge of the coast, we should be able to find your ideal property quite quickly.

If on the other hand you are thinking about selling a property on the Costa del Sol, then Overseas Dreams should definitely be your first call, as we are extremely pro-active and spend a small fortune marketing our properties all over Europe. A typical example of our pro-active approach is our professionally presented walkthrough video tours, that we create for all our exclusive properties. These video tours are then shared everywhere via social media and digital marketing, generating hundreds of thousands of viewers and nearly always result in a quick sale to clients from all over the world.
