Bank of India (BoI) on Tuesday raised ₹10,000 crore via the issue of long-term infrastructure bonds at a coupon rate of 7.23 per cent.
The public sector bank, in a statement, said the base issue size was ₹5,000 crore with a green shoe option of ₹5,000 crore.
BoI received a total of 83 bids amounting to ₹15,305 crore on the NSE Electronic Bidding Provider Platform. Out of this, the Bank accepted 37 bids amounting to ₹10,000 crore.
The Bank said funds raised through long-term bonds will be used to fund long-term infrastructure projects in sub-sectors and affordable housing, in accordance with RBI guidelines. Further, the funds raised by the bank through this issue are not meant for financing any particular project.
