The long-term deal will see AE Yates, Stonbury, JVT Construction, Cleantech Civils, Bethell Construction and Askam Civil Engineering carry out an £80m programme of improvement and maintenance works on reservoir assets across the North West.
Specialist ground engineering packages worth in total £125m have been awarded to Bachy Soletanche, Kier Integrated Services and Bethell Construction, which secured places on both lots.
Projects will typically range from £5,000 to £6m in value, covering tasks such as valve tower access works, conduit repairs, wavewall construction, grouting, piling and geotechnical stabilisation to improve safety and resilience.
The framework supports United Utilities’ capital programme to meet regulatory commitments and prepare for rising investment in its AMP8 and AMP9 periods.
