Clare Regan joins Talbots Law from MFG Solicitors alongside fellow senior hire Lucy George, with both bringing extensive experience in advising residential and commercial property developers, investors, and landowners.

Their appointments are a ‘statement of intent’ in the Midlands property market, according to Talbots’ CEO Dave Hodgetts.

Based at its historic Stourbridge office, Clare will lead a team of eight specialists, leveraging the firm’s growing network of 19 offices across the UK to support clients with major development projects and strategic land opportunities.

The expansion of the real estate development team reflects Talbots’ wider growth trajectory.

Since 2021, the employee-owned law firm has grown from four offices and an £18m turnover to a projected £40m turnover by the end of 2025.

Dave Hodgetts, CEO of Talbots Law., said: “Real estate development is a key growth area for us, and attracting high-quality talent is central to achieving our ambitious goals.

“Claire and Lucy are both well respected and bring a wealth of expertise, making their recruitment a clear statement of our intent. With their contribution, we will continue setting new standards for legal excellence and client care in this market.”

Joining Talbots Law as head of real estate development, Clare Regan said: “This is a really exciting opportunity to join a firm that has ambitious plans to grow. Talbots has been making waves in the market in recent years, and I’m keen to build on that momentum.

“My focus will be on working closely with developers, investors, and landowners across the region to showcase the strength of our offer and the exceptional talent within our team.”

Founded in 1828, Talbots Law now employs more than 600 people across 19 offices in the Black Country, Birmingham, Cheshire, Coventry, North Staffordshire, Shropshire, and Worcestershire.
