Morgan Wallen walks out with Barry Bonds, Steve Young at Santa Clara concert originally appeared on NBC Sports Bay Area
Country music star Morgan Wallen knew exactly how to appease the Bay Area crowd during his concert Friday night at Levi’s Stadium.
Wallen currently is travelling the U.S. on his 20-stadium-show “I’m the Problem Tour,” and he opened the first of his two Santa Clara shows by walking to the stage with two San Francisco sports legends — former Giants slugger Barry Bonds, who owns MLB’s all-time home run record, and Pro Football Hall of Fame 49ers quarterback Steve Young.
It’s standard for Wallen to walk out with notable names from the city or area he’s performing in. For example, he was joined by ex-Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch in Seattle last week and kicked off opening night of his tour in Houston alongside former Texans wide receiver and Hall of Famer Andre Johnson back in June.
Bonds called the moment “a real honor” in an Instagram post after the show.
Wallen further endeared himself to any Giants fans in attendance later in the show when he donned a Bonds jersey on stage.
It certainly was a night to remember for fans of all three stars.
